We will continue our journey south, through wild landscapes, high passes towards Sarchu, perched on a dynamic hillside. Sarchu and Manali are two beautiful valleys with splendid vies and charming climate. Dharmasala supposed to be a hill station with oak and conifer trees and snow capped mountains. Day 1: Arrival to Delhi
You will have a flight directly to Delhi. On the arrival you meet the guide and transferred to the hotel. Spend your evening with leisurely stroll around the surroundings.
Day 2: Flight to Leh
We will have a flight early morning to Leh. Transfer to hotel and after some rest explores the Leh valley. Visit the Palace ruins, the Shanti stupa and the Le Gompa. Rest and relax to avoid high altitude sickness.
Day 3: Sightseeing of Leh
Today you'll have a complete day of visit to the monasteries (104 Kms). Visit the Shey Palace, Thiksey, Hemis monasteries and Stok Palace Museum. Shey Gompa is famous for the large image of seated Buddha Shalyamuni inside it, considered to be the largest metal statue and the second largest Buddha statue in the region of Ladakh. Return to Leh for the overnight stay.
Day 4: Another sightseeing day
Toady is another sightseeing day in this beautiful valley. This can be also an acclimatization day for the further trip. The colorful bazaar of this unique place will win over your heart. The brilliantly designed Leh palace offers amazing views of Leh. Enjoy the Leh market and the historical monuments. Visit the SOS Tibetan Refuge Camp at Choglamsar.
Day 5: Drive to Phyang and Alchi
Drive passing through Gangles villages the road then rises to reach Phyang (17 kms from Leh). Phyang Gompa is popular for its 900 years old museum while the Shankar Gompa (associated with the Spituk Gompa) serves as the residence for the Head lama. After lunch proceeds by drive to Alchi Gompa, which is also known as Chos-Kor or Religious Enclave dating from 11th and 12th centuries.
Day 6: Drive to Lamayuru
Post morning breakfast you will leave for Lamayuru with packed lunch to visit the famous Lamayuru Gompa. Lamayuru Monastery has a rich collection of wall paintings and Thangkas. Take some good snaps of the Moonlandscape (Land which reassembles the lunar surface) and enjoy the stunning views on the way.
Day 7: Drive to Likir - Nie – Leh
Take a drive west of Leh to Likir and back, 125 kms round trip. Drive along the Indus river visiting Hall of Fame and Pathar Sahib Gurdwara and going down to the Sangam of Zanskar and Indus rivers near Nimu and crossing Magnetic Hill and further on to Likir.
Day 8: drive to Khardong La – Hundar
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the World, 18,380 ft). The views from the top of the pass are amazing. Later in the evening you will visit the popular Samasthanling Monastery at hundar followed by overnight camp.
Day 9: Explore Hundar
Explore the Deskit valley, the Hundar valley and enjoy the camel Safari in Sand Dunes between Deskit and Hunder Village. Overnight Hotel.
Day 10: Drive to Leh
After Breakfast visit Deskit Monastery and drive back to Leh by same Route, crossing Khardungla Pass. On arrival, check into hotel and spend the afternoon at leisure.
Day 11: Drive to Sarchu
Drive to Sarchu via through Tanglang La Pass 17,585ft world second highest motor able road. Rests of the day enjoy the panorama around the site.
Day 12: Drive to Manali
Today we start our journey to Manali via Baralacha Pass (4890m), Keylong (3350 m), & Rohtang Pass (3978 m). This route would provide you views of mountains, several streams/ waterfalls and hanging glaciers. Manali, Located in the most charming and beautiful Kullu valley spreads out its charm on either side of river Beas.
Day 13: Manali Excursion
Enjoy full day sightseeing of Manali valley, famously known as Kullu manlai. Explore Hadimba Devi and the Old Manali to see the Manu temple. In the afternoon, you can visit the Vaishisht hot sulphur spring bath.
Day 14: Drive to Dharmasala
The distance between Dharamshala and Manali, is almost 240 km, a drive of about 10hrs. Reach Dharamshala by evening and check into hotel. Overnight is in Dharamshala.
Day 15: Dharmasala excusion
After breakfast go for sightseeing of Dharamshala. Visit Dal Lake, Bhagsu Nath Temple and Chamunda Devi Temple.
Day 16: Transfer to Delhi
Today you'll be transferred to Delhi. En route enjoy the sightseeing of Khajjiar, Chamba and Dalhousie. Overnight in hotel in Delhi.
Day 17: Delhi leisure day
We will take a tour around the old city. Delhi is a thriving metropolis possessing a unique combination of ancient and modern. At New Delhi, we will visit the Raj Ghat, take a drive the India Gate and visit the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humanyun.
Day 18: Transfer to airport
You will be transferred to airport for your departure.
