Everest trail of hiking starts at the upper Phakding and follows the Dudh Kosi valley heading towards the capital of Sherpa the bustling Namche Bazzar where we will be surrounded by stunning Himalaya views. All long this trail, villages interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron and magnolia make it the kind of path you will remember for ever. We trek along a high traversing path where we have our first magnificent view of Everest and head towards Thyangboche Monastery. Lobuche is a vantage point for some spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Taweche and breath-taking sceneries second to none.
The route passes through Lush valleys with abundant flora and fauna, spectacular forests of blooming rhododendron and heartily and friendly Sherpa people with their lovely hospitable and warm welcome in the hikking . Day 1: Greetings at Kathmandu Airport
We will meet you at Kathmandu Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer to your hotel. When you have had your time to settle in and freshen up after your long fight, you will be invited to visit our office for a briefing about your program. You will have meeting with your trekking guide and discuss about the equipment needed for the trekking and we will process for the trekking permits. If you arrive at night we will have same discussion in next day morning after your breakfast.
Day 2: A full day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu, the capital valley
The very next morning, after breakfast you will leave for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit sacred Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient and essentially enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites. The biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhnath and the fine arts and historical architecture of Kathmandu Durbar Square reflecting the ancient Nepalese culture are highlighted on our guided tour. On return to your hotel you will have time to explore the local area, have dinner and perhaps take a leisurely stroll through the popular streets.
Day 3: Flight from KTM to Lukla and trekking to Phakding (2652m):4hr
Early morning we flight from Kathmandu to Lukla via mountain flight of about 40 minutes scenic flight. With clear weather we get fantastic views of the mountains, including Everest as we enter deep gorge of the Dudh Kosi valley. You begin your trek from Lukla following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River. Along the way you will have a view of Mt Nupla (5885m) Kusum Kangaru (6367m) and Mount Kwongde Range. We then take an easy walk for about two hours to Phakding village. However, if interested in additional activities we can take a side trip to a nearby monastery. Have some rest time rest strolling around the village for local knowledge.
Day 4: Phakding trekking to Namche Bazzar (3440m):5-6hr
From Phakding the trail follows the Dudh Koshi valley north, meandering through the pines, crossing it twice by small suspension bridges before reaching the village of Monjo, the entrance gate of the Sagarmatha National Park. Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes waterfalls and other culturally and naturally occurring items of interest. Villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of Rhododendron, Magnolia and fir. Along the way to you will be rewarded with your first glimpse of Kusum Kangru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). The trail climbs through the forests and bridges until we reach the confluence of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. After a final steep ascent of about two hours we get first sight fist of at Mt. Everest, peering over the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge. A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche bazaar (3440m) will afford you further spectacular views and a comfortable place to spend the second night of the trek.
Day 5: Acclimatization day in Namche
Accommodate your body to high altitude of Namche as you have gained much height previous day. Set in a natural amphitheatre looking across to the jagged ridge of Kongdi RI (6187m), Namche Bazzar is one of the most attractive settlements in the khumbu region. We will have a full day rest so that we won't face any problem ahead. You have full day leisure for wonderful panoramic view or stroll around the market You can also enjoy the splendid views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, and Kwangde and so on.
Day 6: Namche Bazzar trek to Tengboche (3867m):5 hrs
We start our trek with pleasant walk through the forest with magnificent view of mountains. We follow a spectacular path that traverses around the hillside high above the Dudh Kosi River. After walking one hour you will arrive in Phungithanga. The trail climbs past some water-powered prayer wheels and begins a sustained climb through a forest of tall, mature rhododendrons. Look out for musk deer and Himalayan tahr among the trees. The start of the Tengboche (3870m), the village is scattered across a wide, grassy saddle below a crescent-shaped ridge covered by scrub pines and firs. From the view point at the top of the hill, there are awe-inspiring views of distinctive peaks like Amadablam (6856m), standing proud of the massif containing Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7861m), Lhotse (8501m) and inspiring views of Himalayan giants. We visit the Buddhist Monastery at Tengboche, the largest in Khumbu region.
Day 7: Tengboche Trek to Khumjung village: 4/5 hours.
Retrace the journey back to Shanasha, from where the trail from Khumjung, Gokyo and to Namche meets. Trekking up for about 2 hours and then leveling off until we reach the village of Khumjung.Heading to Khumjung a largest settlement of Khumbu Valley is one of the oldest and largest Sherpa settlements in the Khumbu region (Everest region). The village is the seat of Khumjung village development committee which include Khunde, Khumjung, Tyangboche, Pangboche, Pheriche, Dole, Machhermo, Lobuche, Dingboche, Gokyo and some small town , the valley is surrounded by the snowy peaks of Kongde and Thamserku. We can take a take a short hike up to the monastery to view the yeti “scalp” at the Khumjung monastery.
Day 8: Khumjung trekking to Monjo (2835m): 5 hours.
It is easy working with absorb the magnificent views of surroundings, after Namche Bazaar the trail descent steeply back to Dudh Koshi River. The trail is easier now as we are losing altitude, and we can enjoy a gentle walk on the trail Jorsalle. We will work though the forest of magnolia, giant firs and rhododendrons with the view of distance snow covered peak before arriving Monjo. Spent your night at one of the good lodges here, enjoying the local tradition and culture.
Day 9: Monjo trekking back to Lukla (2,850):3-4 hr
It will be just a 3hr easy and gentle trail back to Lukla.Thetrail drops steeply and runs level through out the day.It is a beautiful and easy walk through blue pine and rhododendron forest, back-dropped with views of Kusum Kangaru. Enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village arrival in Lukla. You'll have time to stroll around the local areas. In the evening you can enjoy a typical Nepalese dinner and cultural show.
Day 10: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
Saying final goodbye to our porters we return to the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu with a 45 minute flight back to the domestic airport. (It also can be a spare day in case of bad weather in Lukla which makes the Lukla flight delayed and cancel.) Rests of the day spend in hotel having rest after your long hiking trail. At evening your can have some easy walk around.
Day 11: Free day in Kathmandu
Today you will have a free day in Kathmandu valley. Have some rest in your hotel. You can also take a leisurely stroll over the streets and buy some souvenirs and remembering from Nepal. At the evening you can have your last night in Nepal enjoying the Nepali cultural dinner show exchanging greetings among friends and with all Nepalese people.
Day 12: Final Departure
From today you may continue your next trip or any other programs. This can be also the last day of your hiking and you can have final departure back to your destination.

Best Travel Time: February to Mid June, September - November are the best seasons. Dec & January are Winter and cold can be snow on the trail, July & August are rainy time, trekking can be done but visibility can be poor due to rain.
