The main thing to see in this trail is the local villages along the trail still exhibit countryside lifestyle even though being so close to city. Journey on a hike that will lead you to remote villages to learn about the lifestyles of ethnic groups like the Tamangs and the Newars. The temple of Changu Narayan is the oldest temple found till date in Nepal and is dedicate to Lord Vishnu which is listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Site. It is an impressive temple situated on top of a small hill, which is approximately 16 km from Kathmandu. On the way you can enjoy the fascinating views of Sankhu. Changu Narayan Nagarkot hike is amazing to see how the villages along the trail still exhibit countryside lifestyle of Nepal in Sankhu. Then we drive to Nagarkot where you will begin the day with an early morning drive out to the beautiful countryside of Nagarkot for a view of the sun rising over snow-capped mountains.
Nagarkot is popular for sunrise and sunset views from the Mountains and is one of the most popular hill stations where you can enjoy an authentic lunch accompanied with sightseeing over the Nagarkot hilltop. In the clear weather the sunrise outlook from Nagarkot hill present you the ever-refreshing remembrance of the magnificent panoramic view of the Himalayan range from Dhaulagiri in the west and Mt. Everest in the east. The first rays of the sun firing the peaks glowing a multitude of pink, gold and red hues as it slowly lights up the Himalayas becomes extremely beautiful gracing your hiking pursuits.
Next take a hike we drive back to Changu Narayan to continue hike which is one of the one of the most ancient places in Nepal which passes through deciduous forest where you will have a close watch to flora & fauna. In Changu Narayan One can see world praised master pieces of stoned sculpture. One can see old women weaving their traditional textile, pottery, handmade paper production, wood carving, Thankas, Painting and metal sculpting around Changu Narayan. The temple is dedicated to Hindu God Vishnu and is a perfect example of Nepalese Pagoda Style temple and our hiking ends here we drive back to Kathmandu visiting here.
