Annapurna Panorama Trekking and Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour November

Our first trip to Nepal went smoothly for us mainly due to the efforts of Puru at Above the Himalaya. I spent close to a year e-mailing him and finalizing all our details. Answers to my many inquiries always came back promptly within twelve hours. All of his staff that looked after us were extremely personable and friendly. Nothing was ever too much to ask for. Our driver for two weeks, when we needed one, became like a friend. A friendly face in a sea of humanity. Our trek was incredible due to the efforts of Phurba. He looked after us like family and we never had to worry about anything. His choice of teahouses for us was exceptional. Upon completion of our adventure to Nepal there is nothing I can find that I would have changed in my choices offered up by Puru. A three night stay in Chitwan National Park was a relaxing finale to a trip of a lifetime for us. Hats off to Puru and his team.

Annapurna Panorama View Trekking October

I can happily recommend Above the Himalaya Trekking to anybody organising a trekking holiday in Nepal. Puru couldn't be more helpful and the guides and porters he provided for us were nothing short of great !
We had a small hiccup with a flight from Pokara (due to weather ) and Puru was behind the scenes organising alternatives before we had even had a chance to contact him.

Annapurna Range Trekking - 2006

Recently I was on a trekking in Annapurna ranges of Nepal and was undertaking the Annapurna circuit. Initially I was worried as not too many Indians go for adventure sports in other parts of the world and a person like me one can never imagine to be on something like trekking. But my guide PURU was quite positive towards my plans to go on trekking on way in first three days I thought I made a mistake as use to stay behind to other people of our group Frane Hanah & Dirk but PURU always motivated me and kept me positive it was his personal efforts I could climb the Thorong Pass which is 5416 meters in height
The arrangements made by PURU on way were excellent and of very good standard I never had any problem and if I use to think that I may have some problem PURU use to be always there with his valuable advice and friendly instructions. The food was fantastic and PURU also told me about my questions regarding various issues starting from weather to high altitude and transports system to Maoist problem in the state. PURU made excellent liaison with the Mao sympathizers on way and we didn?t had any problem from there side on way. If somebody willing or planning to go to Nepal for trekking it would be a plus point to consult PURU he is quite helpful and would not give wrong advice Recently I was on a trekking in Annapurna ranges of Nepal and was undertaking the Annapurna circuit

“Professional & Affordable Trekking”

My husband and I just returned from trekking in Nepal (2/12-2/20/2017) and without hesitation we wanted to recommend Puru Timalsena and his team at Above the Himalaya Trekking. I have relied on Trip Advisor reviews and found Puru thru Trip Advisor. I gave thought to using a company directly in Nepal and leaving out the middlemen and it was so easy and worthwhile.

What we enjoyed about working with Puru was his excellent and timely responses to our questions, the ease in booking our trip and when we arrived all the necessary details were handled from beginning to end.

Our guide Basu was always concerned with our happiness and safety and our porter Muradi worked tirelessly to get our belongings from one teahouse to the next - both guys always smiling and making sure the trek went off without a hitch.

We were picked up at the airport, taken to our hotel, all the permits and details were handled by Puru and Basu and food/lodging/transportation were all handled. All we had to do was concentrate on enjoying our trek and the wonderful people of Nepal and the sights to discover.

Please do not hesitate to contact Puru directly and establish a program that works for you. He guided us on the best trek for us and made necessary recommendations based on our wishes. We went there to celebrate my 60th birthday and accomplish the goal of trekking the Himalayas and I/We would encourage you to spend your dollars directly with the company. They are appreciative of your business and we felt so good knowing that our dollars were going directly to all those we came in contact with and not for unnecessary expenses.

I'm happy to answer any other questions and hope this review is helpful.

Nepal is a beautiful country
Trekking is a really unique experience
The Nepalese are warm and welcoming
Puru and his team make it all so easy
Just go for it!!!
