Everest Region Trekking is popularly climbs through the foothills of the world's highest mountain offer some of the most challenging trekking in world. Mt Everest (8848m) has been calling out to trekkers and climbers since it first appeared in the telescopes of mountain surveyors. The districts of Solu and Khumbu have been extensively developed for trekking, with well maintained trails and plentiful lodges. This Everest region trek comprises not only the Everest Base Camp but also Namche Bazzar, Lukla, mysterious kala Pathhar and the whole Solukhumbu area situated at the lap of looming Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. The majestic views of top mountains of world along with marvelous scenic beauty of Dudh Koshi and the astounding natural heights are the most attractive highlights of this Everest region.

The mountains of the Everest Region trek are so large that their own created climate makes you heavenly. Everest Region Trekking is popular for bio diversity too. As you climb through the hills, mixed deciduous forests and scattered rice terraces give way to pine forests, then blooming rhododendrons, then scrub junipers, before finally the only vegetation is low alpine shrubs and grasses. The region is abundantly rich in wildlife as we passes through Sagarmatha National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for Himalayan Tahr, musk deer pikka, mouse hare and also do not forget to scan skies and the undergrowth for golden eagle, spectacular Himalayan monal (Daphe, national bird of Nepal). The Everest Khumbu region is home to both leopards and snow leopards, and allegedly, fearsome Yeti.

The famous route can be flying into Lukla and climbing steeply through the mountains of Khumbu to famous Everest base camp (EBC) or the scared lakes at Gokyo. However you can also be better to explore the local and urban villages via jiri or Hile to EBC. Experience the breathtaking earth's tallest Mt. Everest and some spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Taweche, Thamaseku, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Lhotse and many more. Everest Base Camp (5,364m), Kala Patthar (5,550m) and Gokyo Peak (5,350m) are most significant factor for the Travelers. Beside these the worthy high passes such as Renjo La Pass (5446m), Cho La Pass (5420m), Kongma La Pass (5535m) can be the interesting expedition for you.

Solukhumbu is the homeland of the inborn mountaineers, Sherpa people. Their unique ancient culture and practices, ethnic stone-housed villages and their sound hospitality will surely makes your trail more exotic. The Buddhist monuments of the Sherpa's – stupas, chortens, mani walls and gompas – mirror the towering landscape all around. Everest Region is famous for trekking and expedition for the extraordinary wildlife, fantastic geographical and biological diversities, rich mountain lifestyle and close up views of amazing snow capped world highest peaks. Bring extra film or memory cards for your camera as it's easy to go snapping crazy in the Everest Region.

Everest Base camp trek, Gokyo trek, Jiri EBC Trek, Phaplu EBC trek, EBC Chola pass Gokyo trek, Everest view trek etc. are popular treks in Everest region. Among Nepal's most spectacular treks, this is one not to rush and have full enjoyments with close up views of mountains, ancient culture and diverse biology passing through some of the stunning scenery of this heavenly country Nepal.

Lukla to Tengboche Trekking March

Rick Tripp

My friend and I had Puru arrange for porters and a hotel for our trek from Lukla to Tengboche. The porters provided did an excellent job. They were helpful and very attentive to our needs.

When an emergency arose back home that required an immediate return, Puru personally got the things we left in our hotel in Kathmandu, and met us at the domestic airport terminal to give us out things, and to give us a ride to the international terminal.

This is truly a first rate outfit with great people and service above and beyond what was contracted for.

everest base camp , kalapather

Went here in May. First time taking a trek like this. The group at Above the himalaya trekking  was excellent. Pick up at the airport, hotel accommodations, preparations and supplies. All top notch. The guide we had was phurba. Excellent, knowledgable guy. Very serious about his job and your safety. The provide much of the equipment including sleeping bags, down jackets, climbing boots, rain poncho. Nothing was cheap, all first class stuff. Through out the trek the guides and porters were fantastic. You really become a little family, going through the tough days, spending all the time together, it bonds everyone. Found some new friends, both with the fellow climbers and the guides. The reviews for these guys are all positive, and there is a reason for that. They take their time, do things right and the feeling could not be better. I strongly suggest you try these guys if you are deciding. If I go back, would be no other group I would spend it with. Great job guys.
