Everest Easy and exotic trek is one of the most popular trekking trail in Nepal designed for those who wish to experience Himalayan Khumbu region in short frame of time. The Everest easy trekking include  unique culture, traditions, life style of the local people, rich biodiversity, and majestic mountains of this region. In this trek, we will go through many more spectacular and beautiful mountains which are the main attractions. This trek brings you the view of four great peaks which are above 8000m such as Mt. Everest-8848m, Cho Oyu-8153m, Lhotse-8516m and Makalu-8463m. This type of trek is suitable for those who can walk about 4 to 5 hours a day and can move within the limited time.

Everest Easy trekking starts with a short flight to Lukla and trekking to Monjo. The trek continues through the lush vegetation of Sagarmatha National Park which is the habitat for very rare wild animals like Snow leopard and wild goat. The route passes through abundant flora and fauna, colorful prayer flags, dense spectacular forests of blooming rhododendron, blue pine, orchid and fir forests of the Khumbu and Everest region.  We pass through friendly Sherpa villages and Buddhist monasteries of Namche Bazaar where  we will  view the incredible vista of Mt Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,501m), Thamserku (6,502m), Ama Dablam (6,450m) Kusumkanggaru along with the  snowy peak of Khumbu Himalaya Nepal. The Everest Easy trekking proceeds experiencing the natural beauty, astonishing landscape and magnificent view of Himalayas to Tengboche.

Exploring the famous historical monastery in Tengboche, we will trek on easy Everest trail to Khumjung valley and Phakding. Khumbu Valley is one of the oldest and largest Sherpa settlements in the Khumbu region (Everest region). Everest easy trek is for those who have shorter holiday and would like to view the world’s highest peaks from comfortable elevation and enjoy the medley adventure. When it comes to spectacular breathtaking mountain panoramas, Trekking easy in Everest is one of the best choices. Back down to Lukla from where we will take a short flight back to Kathmandu, enjoying the last views of the awe-inspiring Himalayan range and its people.

 

Outline Itinerary

Day  01 :  Arrival in Kathmandu

Day  02 :  Fly Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Monjo (2800m): Walking hours 4-5 hours

Day  03 :  Trek from Monjo to Namche (3445m): Walking hours 4-5 hours

Day  04 :  Namche Bazaar trek to Tengboche (3867m): Walking hours 5-6 hours

Day  05 :  Trek from Namche to Khumjung Village (3789m): Walking hours 2-3 hours

Day  06 :  Trek from Khumjung to Phakding (2,652m): Walking hours 5 hours

Day  07 :  Phakding trek back to Lukla (2,850): Walking hours 2-3 hours

Day  08 :  Flight back to Kathmandu

Day  09 :  Departure day

 

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel. After freshen up meeting will be conducted in our office with guide, arranging permit and checking the trekking equipment and other necessary things.

Day 02: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla trek to Monjo (2800m): Walking hours 4-5 hours
Early morning we flight from Kathmandu to Lukla via mountain flight of about 40 minutes scenic flight. With clear weather we get fantastic views of the mountains, including Everest as we enter deep gorge of the Dudh Kosi valley. You begin your trek from Lukla following beautiful and easy walk through blue pine and rhododendron forest. After trekking of 3-4 hrs you’ll be at monjo. Spent your night at one of the good lodges here. 

Day 03: Trek from Monjo to Namche (3445m): Walking hours 4-5 hours
Today the trail passes waterfalls and naturally occurring items of interest. Villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of Rhododendron, Magnolia and fir. Along the way to you will be rewarded with your first glimpse of Kusum Kangru (6369m), Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m).  A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche bazaar will afford you further spectacular views and a comfortable place to spend the second night of the trek. 

Day 04: Namche Bazaar trek to Tengboche (3867m): Walking hours 5-6 hours
We follow a spectacular path that traverses around the hillside high above the Dudh Kosi River. After walking one hour you will arrive in Phungi Thanga. The trail climbs past some water-powered prayer wheels and begins a sustained climb through a forest of tall, mature rhododendrons to Tengboche. From the view point at the top of the hill, there are awe-inspiring views of distinctive and inspiring views of Himalayan giants. We visit the Buddhist Monastery at Tengboche, the largest in Khumbu region.

Day 05: Trek from Namche to Khumjung Village (3789m): Walking hours 2-3 hours
Trekking up for about 2 hours and then leveling off until we reach the village of Khumjung. Heading to Khumjung a largest settlement of Khumbu Valley is one of the oldest and largest Sherpa settlements in the Khumbu region (Everest region). The valley is surrounded by the snowy peaks of Kongde and Thamserku. We can take a take a short hike up to the monastery to view the yeti “scalp” at the Khumjung monastery.

Day 06: Trek from Khumjung to Phakding (2,652m): Walking hours 5 hours
It is easy working with absorb the magnificent views of surroundings, after Namche Bazaar the trail descent steeply back to Dudh Koshi River. We can enjoy a gentle walk on the trail Jorsalle. We will work though the forest of magnolia, giant firs and rhododendrons with the view of distance snow covered peak before arriving Phakding. Phakding is a crowed place but better for our night settlement.

Day 07: Phakding trek back to Lukla (2,850): Walking hours 2-3 hours
It will be just a 3hr easy and gentle trail back to Lukla. The trail drops steeply and runs level through blue pine and rhododendron forest. Enjoying the lush green scenery around and passing through the incredible mountain scenery and local Sherpa village arrival in Lukla. You'll have time to stroll around the local areas. In the evening you can enjoy a typical Nepalese dinner and cultural show.

Day 08: Flight back to Kathmandu
We return to the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu with a 45 minute flight back to the domestic airport. (It also can be a spare day in case of bad weather in Lukla which makes the Lukla flight delayed and cancel.) At the evening you can have your last night in Nepal enjoying the Nepali cultural dinner show exchanging greetings among friends and with other Nepalese people.

Day 09: Fly back to home
We will drop you to the International airport to catch your flight back to your home and wish for your Safe journey.

Special Note:

Flight by plane and helicopter are prone to cancellations. Sometimes, flight may delay for notorious weather in Everest region - Lukla flight. As that flights have some problem with fixed schedule, it is also recommended to carry extra money for food and accommodations. Trekking in the everest region, especially during odd season, you’re advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating consequence. In case of delay in flight prior to trek departure or at the end of the trek, you need to meet your accommodation, food costs by yourself.

Passport and Visas:

First, be sure you have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date.  You can obtain visas for Nepal from the Nepalese Consulate in your country or up on arrival in Kathmandu Airport. Nepalese visas cost USD 25 for 15 days and USD 40 for 30 days till date.

Get the required visa for Nepal.

You can get Nepal visa prior to arrival from the Nepalese Embassy at your home country. Likewise, you can easily get an up on arrival visa at Kathmandu airport and other different borders from Nepal. Bring Official Papers

Some of the required official documents are your valid passport, 4 extra passport sized photographs (for trekking permits), travel insurance, airline tickets and luggage tags. Visas can be obtained upon entry into Nepal. For detail information we request you to visit our visa page.

Money & Credit card Info

We find that most of the credit card, master and visa card is blocked from your card provider. It may be because of a security reason. It, sometimes, may bring you in problematic situation that you can't get money from ATMs and that you find difficult to pay for your treks and tour. To find yourself free from this problem, you can call to your card provider before you travel to Nepal and inform there that you are traveling to Nepal. Ensure them to give the authorization for the payment. In Nepal you have to pay 3.5 % credit card commission s per Nepal Bank rules, on top of your payable amount for the trek cost.  So, please be sure that you bring some cash in USD to pay us. Likewise, be sure you have brought some small amount for your daily expenses as well as for those items which are not included in our cost. We request you not to change money in the Airport. The exchange rate is very low there. Our office provides you the facility to change your money. Or, you can take help from Money Changers in Thamel

Travel Insurance:

Our clients must have comprehensive travel insurance package. Their insurance must cover against medical, personal accident, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, lost of gears, natural calamity, theft of or damage to baggage etc.

Load shedding (Electricity crisis) in Nepal

We are sorry to inform you that though Nepal is rich in water resource, there is electricity crisis in Nepal. It is more likely that there is electricity off for some hours in day and night time.  Most of the hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara and other cities are likely to have no battery backup. Air condition may not work and, sometimes, TV and other electric utensils may not run. Some hotel is likely to run the TV and AC also. However, only few of them are in this category.

So, be prepared for this while you are traveling here.  For your ease, we recommend you to bring the flashlight with extra bulbs and batteries.

Flight delay:

Flight by plane and helicopter are prone to cancellations. Sometimes, flight may delay for notorious weather in remote areas. Some other times, operational complication may occur which is more likely to happen in Everest region -Lukla flight, Annapurna region- Jomsom flight, Dolpa, Simikot , Jumla region etc. As these flights have some problem with fixed schedule, it is also recommended to carry extra money for food and accommodations. Trekking in the remote areas, especially during odd season, you’re advised to reserve extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating consequence. In case of delay in flight prior to trek departure or at the end of the trek, you need to meet your accommodation, food costs by yourself.

No special degree of fitness is required and that there is no age barrier. However, in the areas over 3000m altitude, extra care should be taken. One can trek who have strong legs and the spirit for adventure to explore the exotic will enjoy the thrills of trekking in the hills of Nepal. Our Trekking Dates

Most of our treks start on the third day of your arrival. On the first day of your arrival, we will pick you from the airport and let you know your hotel. However, it depends on your arrival time. If your flight is early, we are likely to invite you to our office and make yourself comfort with ideas and brief information on your trek package. If you arrive at night, all the arrangements are likely to made the morning. Second day, it is our package to take you for sightseeing tour within Kathmandu valley. However, the trekkers who have limited time can start their trekking from the second day. We can arrange all the necessary trekking permits and other utensils in advance in case you have limited time. It is your third day that you will fly out of Kathmandu. However, if any further arrangement is still at wait, you can enjoy your trek the next day.

Clothing and Equipment for Traveling in Nepal

Trekking in the Himalayas need to arrangement of equipment as you have to find yourself comfortable at higher altitude. The basic clothing item that you are expected to be prepared with are well described here. Remember that excess baggage is likely to be a burden for yourself and your supporting staff. Buying and Renting Equipment in Kathmandu

It is not really necessary to spend large amount of money buying extra equipment and clothing prior to your trip. It is because most of the trekking equipment can be hired from many adventure shops within Kathmandu. Most of the gear is locally manufactured (hence a lot cheaper). Some Chinese gear are likely to be more expensive but qualitative. Sleeping bag and down jacket are easily rented. Each item can be rented for less than USD 1, for a day. You have to manage other items buying them yourself. However, these items are more likely to be cheaper than those in your hometown. We will arrange all the necessary items you need on the second day of your arrival. Moreover, we ourselves will fascinate you to buy the goods.  

Vaccination for Nepal

All travelers should consult with their physician or update on vaccination requirements before travel. (Your doctor or health-care provider will determine what you will need, depending on factors such as your health and immunization history, areas of the country you will be visiting, and planned activities)

For traveling to Nepal; we recommend you to take a vaccination of Polio, Tetanus, Typhoid, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Rabies etc, it is not really must but recommended.

We need 20% booking amount to confirm your booking, the payment can be made through the Bank transfer, Credit card payment (Master/Visa card ) or through online money transfers also Money Gram, Western Unions or others. After we get the 20% amount we will confirm your booking and you will get the official booking and payment receipt. The final balance for the tour will be paid up on arrival in Kathmandu.

Best Travel Time: February to Mid June, September - November are the best seasons.  Dec & January are Winter and cold can be snow on the trail, July & August are rainy time, trekking can be done but visibility can be poor due to rain.
