Kathmandu-Kakani- Nagarkot Hiking
Situated at an elevation of 6,500 feet above the sea-level and 25 kilometers away from Katmandu City, Kakani is popular for panoramic mountains views of Annapurna (8091m/ 26,545ft), Manasalu (8165m/ 26,781ft), Ganesh Himal (7446m/ 24,422ft), Lantang lirung (7245m/ 23,763ft) and 20 other mountains over 6000 meters (19,680ft) above sea level It is also famous for plenty of terraced fields. You can also see the natural beauty of Kathmandu valley, the people and their culture and tradition, Short Hiking are made possible from Kakani.
Kathmandu –Kakani Nagarkot Hiking Itinerary Details:
Day 01: Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Drive to Kakani (1082 m), 23 km northwest of Kathmandu around 1 hour drive. We start our hike toward eastern flat trail, today we do a hiking until Ale danda
Day 03: Hiking Aalendanda to Shivapuri: Aalendanda to shivapuri is very good hiking through the forest and along the ridge with spectacular views of Annapurna, Manaslu,Ganesh himal,Langtang and Jugal Himal.Camp at Shivapuri( 2732m) Which offers outstanding views of the Himalaya from the campsite on the flat, grassy summit.
Day 04: Hiking Shivapuri to Chisopani: Wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise over the white- Mountains . Breakfast served about 7:00 am after breakfast, starts our hikes to Chisopani (2194m). It takes 4 hours. Walk along the ridge between the Shivapuri watershed forest and the panoramic attraction of the Himalaya and overnight in Chisopani.
Day 05: Hiking Chisopani to Nagarkot: after 2 and half hour hiking we will arrive to Chauki Bhanjag, after having a lunch in Chauki bhanjyang continue hiking to Nagarkot which takes 3 hour.
Day 06: Hiking Nagarkot to Sankhu: after having a best sunrise view in Nagarkot hiking down to Sankhu and then drive to Kathmandu .
Day 07: Continue for your next trip or final departure on your own destination
