Langtang Region Trekking
The langtang region trek is another popular trek in Nepal. Trekking in langtang region is easily accessible from Kathmandu. Straight north from Kathmandu is the Langtang- Helambu region which enjoys snow-covered peaks, a mild climate, and friendly hospitable inhabitants which makes it the ideal trek almost year round each area of langtang region itself is a good choice for those with limited time. One can make a trekking in this region from 3 days to 21 days. Normally in Langtang region is less trekked than the Annapurna or Everest region so the route and area are more silent so the trekking in this region can be an ideal choice who wants to way from crowded.
Trekking in this region offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-caped peaks, grassy down and meadows strewn with daises and wild animals. In the upper part of the langtang region are snow ridges spanning angry torrents, high passes enveloped in mist tiny lakes of crystalline brightness and glaciated mountain giants.
Langtang region trek route goes through traditional, ethnic villages and untouched forests on the way to the peaks of langtang-lirung. The highlights of this region include a visit to langtang valley, helambu region, Kyanjing gompa and the Langtang lirung Glacier. One can also climb the Langsisa peak and visit Gosainkunda Lake Which is one of the holiest Lake in Nepal.
