Lobuche peak climbing 6119m is one of the popular trekking peaks in Everest region, lies close to Khumbu Glacier offers an attractive summit and offers various routes for climbing. It is considered technically challenging climbing peak and recommend for previous alpine mountaineering experienced climbers. There are various routes for to reach this peak and normal route is south ridge. After everyone ready for the ascent we start as early as possible gaining the south ridge as angled rock leads onto the first snow, then we again follow this ridge as it snakes its way to join the summit ridge.

The summit gives fantastic views of whole of the Khumbu regions including, Mount Everest, Nuptse, Mt Lhotse, Makalu, Baruntse and Ama Dablam, Cholatse, Thamserku, Kantega peak, Tawache peak and others mountain peaks.

The itinerary start from Lukla with following the exhilarating Everest base camp trekking trail and it is lifetime memorable expedition in the Himalayas.

 

 

Itinerary for Paldor Peak Climbing

Day 1: Meet at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel

Day 2: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Full day’s sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Return to the hotel.

Day 3: Flight from KTM – Lukla. Trek to Phakding (2,652m).

Day 4: Phakding to Namche (3,440m)- Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes a waterfall. All day, we pass villages interspersed with magnificent forest- rhododendron, magniolia trees and giant firs. And on the way to walking you will be rewarded (weather permitting) your first glimpse of Kusum Kanggru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche bazaar (3440m).

Day 5: Acclimatization day in Namche. Acclimatization is most important before proceeding to a higher elevation. It is therefore recommended that you take a short days hike to Thame, Khunde or Khumjung or relax and explore the sherpa culture of Namche.

Day 6: Namche to Tengboche (3,867m): after walking one hour you arrive in phungithanga from there the trail climbs through forests where you can spot musk deer. Tengboche sits on a saddle at 3870m in a clearing surrounded by dwarf fires and rododendroms. Kwongde (6187m) Tawache(6542m) Everest (8848m) Nuptse (7855m) Lhotse (8618m) Amadablam (6856m) Thamserku (6608m) provide and inspiring panorama of Himalayan giants. We visit the Bhuddist Monastry at Tengboche, the largest in Khumbu region.

Day 7: Tengboche to Pheriche: Beyond Tengboche the altitude really starts to tell. The trail droops down to Dingboche, crosses the Imja Khola and climbs past superb mani stones ( carved with the Tibetan Buddhist chant om mani padme hum) to Pangboche at 3860m The gompa here is worth visiting. Then the trail start climbs to Pheriche 4240m. Where there is a medical facility, which gives lectures everyday on Altitude Sickness.

Day 8: Pheriche to Lobuche

Day 9: Lobuche – Kalapathar back to Gorekshep

Day 10: Gorekshep to Everest base camp back to Lobuche

Day 11: Lobuche Base camp

Day 12: Acclimatization day at Base Camp

Day 13: Another Acclimatization day at Base Camp

Day 14: Make a High Camp

Day 15: Acclimatization

Day 16: Summit & Back to Base camp

Day 17: Lobuche Base camp - Dingboche

Day 18: Dingoche - Tenggboche

Day 19: Tengboche – Namche

Day 20: Namche – Lukla

Day 21: Fly back to Kathmandu

Day 22: Kathmandu free day, evening culture show with nepali dinner, hotel

Day 23: Final departure, transfer to airport

The total cost for the trek, tour or peak climbing you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. For these reasons the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.
