Queen of the Hills 8 Night/9 Days
Situated between Kingdom of Nepal in the west and Bhutan in east, In north Plateau of Tibet and southern border with state of West Bengal, It is the land of orchids, monasteries and mountain, inhabited by Nepalis, Lepcha and Bhutia people,Sikkim is an amazing place of hidden valleys, mystical monasteries, snow-fed lakes and a mountain setting with flowers and forests. Mt. Kanchenjunga , the third highest peak in the world (8,586m) dominates the landscape and is revered as Sikkim ’s guardian deity.
Known in world for its tea gardens and inhabited by Nepalis, Bhutias and Bengalis. Darjeeling is the Queen of the Hill station, famous for its natural beauty, clean fresh air, year round pleasant weather and above all, the ever smiling and welcoming local people. The 3rd highest peak in the world Mt. Kanchenjunga which is situated in Darjeeling and provides you a magnificent view.
Tour Itenieary
Day 01: Kathmandu to Darjeeling Flight to Bhadrapur/ Biratnagar and drive to Darjeeling (140 km / 04 hrs.). Overnight in hotel
Day 02: Darjeeling Early morning tour to Tiger Hills (at around 4 am) to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak (subject to clear weather). On way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia loop. Afternoon visit to Japanese Temple , Peace Pagoda, Ava Art Gallery and Natural History Museum . Overnight in hotel
Day 03: Darjeeling Today visit Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing, Gumbu Rock site and Tibetan Refugee self-help (Closed on Sunday) Center Tea Estate. Overnight in hotel
Day 04: Darjeeling to Martam Transfer to Martam (115 kms / 04 hrs. Overnight in hotel
Day 05: Martam to Gangtok Early morning sightseeing of Rumtek Monastery and then proceed for sightseeing of Kanchejunga View Point, Drul-Chorten, Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology and Handicraft centers. Check in hotel at Gangtok and evening free.
Day 06: Explore around Gangtok Today you will take an excursion trip to Tshangu Lake (departure in the morning)- situated at a height of 3,780 m. with an average depth of 50 ft. The cool water of the lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. A small temple is constructed on the lakeside and beautiful flowers & Alpine vegetation grow around the lake
Day 07: Gangtokto Kalimpong Transfer to Kalimpong (80 kms / 03 hrs). Check in hotel.
Day 08: Kalimpong Go for a sightseeing of Dello hills, Dr. Graham_s Home, Jang-Dong-Palriffo Brang, and Durbin Dara Hills. Afternoon transfer to Gangtok. Overnight in hotel Day 09 Kalimpong-Kathamndu. Drive to Bhadrapur and flight to Kathmandu
