Low altitude treks in the lower regions of Darjeeling are quiet easy and are particularly recommended for those tourists who like to take up a stroll at a leisurely pace. First, its verdant hills and valleys are steeped in color, and are interspersed with vast stretches of rolling green tea gardens. The beautiful panorama of tea land delights its visitors. The Kalimpong-Relli trek through golden paddy fields, the Kurseong-Namsu trail through tea gardens and the Kurseong-Mirik trek are the main trails through low altitude areas. Presiding over all this is Mt. Kanchanjunga, the third highest mountain on Earth, looming over the northern horizon, giving a magical aura to the land that leaves one's senses intoxicated.
