Tamang Heritage Trails - Bridim - Rasuwa Trekking

Tamang Heritage Trail is one of the newly y opened "off the beaten track" trekking route at Langtang Region. The trek is rich in cultural experience as well as spectacular mountain views. One can get an experience and can explore the fascinations culture and lifestyle of Tamang people with their festivals, traditional architecture, observe the Syabru, Mane and other local dances at Goljung and Gatlang VDCs, healing bath in the natural hot springs is another attraction.
The people of this region are mostly Tibetans who came from Kerung in Tibet across the border and settled in Nepal, who changes their ethnicity to Tamang, The people here are descendants from Tibet and their culture is virtually untouched, trekkers have an opportunity to do a home stay in the village of this untouched community.

Tamang Heritage trek either start from Dhunche or Syabrubesi and passes through Goljung, Gatlang, Thuman, Timure, Briddim,where trail passes traditionally built stone households and the beautifully carved wooden porches, beautiful farming hamlets and rich jungle land with rhododendron forest, specials of birds and butterflies, wild animals like Bears, leopards, red panda’s and musk deer and trek oferrs the best Himalayan view of Mt of Langtang Lirung (7245m.), Langtang Kerung, Dorje Lakpa (6989m.), Jugal Himal, Ganesh Himal, Paldor peak, Shringi Himal, Manaslu and Sanjen Himal ranges

Tamang Heritage Trail Trekking Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu, transfer to hotel

Day 2: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Back to hotel and stay.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi (1460m), By jeep or local bus, which will take around 12 hours. Overnight in guesthouses

Day 4: Syaprubeshi to goljung (1960m), Walking takes around 5 hours overnight camping.

Day 5: Goljung to Gatlang (2240m),Walk about 4 hours

Day 6: Gatlang to Tatopani (2240m), The day we have to walk quite long (about 6 hours)

Day 7: Totopani to Nagthali / Thuman (2000m), Around 6 hours walking. Camping overnight .

Day 8: Thuman to Rasuwagadhi (2240m), About 7 hours of walking camping.

Day 9: Rasuwagadhi to Briddim (2290m) Walking around 6 hours.

Day 10: Rest and exploring day in Briddim.

Day 11: Briddim to Syabrubeshi, Walking around 4 hours.

Day 12: Syaprubeshi to Kathmandu by local bus

Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu, Evening joing Nepali diner with cultural show, hotel

Day 14: Final departure , transfer to airport.

Price For The Trip:

The total cost for the trek or tour you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. For these reasons the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.
