Tharpu Chuli Peak Climbing
Tharpu Chuli Peak, with its height 5,663m, is the glory of Annapurna region. It is the finest ascent to the climbing teams, not only to experience peak climbing but also seeing ranges of mountain scenery. This peak offers an ideal opportunity for those who want to climb easy Himalayan peak.
It is well famous Annapurna Sanctuary that delights its visitors before the thrilling experience of Tharpu Chuli peak climbing begins. The sanctuary offers its visitors the magnificent and unparallel views of the mountain panoramas. The Superb countryside adds to the excitement and pleasure of this ascent as we trek along the rich and fertile Modi Khola with its tumbling cascades and high water falls.
The normal route follows the North-West Ridge to the summit although the mountain has been climbed via the South-East Ridge as well as South-West Face.
Tharpu Chuli Peak Climbing Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu, transfer to hotel
Day 2: Sight-seeing of Kathmandu: Leave for full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit Monkey Temple the Swyambhunath (2000 years old temple) and visit Patan city of fine arts. Back to hotel and stay.
Day 3: Prepared permit & trekking
Day 4: Drive to Pokhara 5-6 hrs
Day 5: Drive to Suikhet & trek to Pothana
Day 6: Pothana - New bridge
Day 7: New Bridge - Khuldighar
Day 8: Khuldighar - Himalayan hotel
Day 9: Himalayan - Machapuchhere BC
Day 10: Machapuchhere BC - Annapurna BC
Day 11: Accimatization day
Day 12: Annapurna BC - Tharpu Chuli BC
Day 13: Tharpu Chuli High
Day 14: Tharpu Chuli High - Summit & back to BC
Day 15: Base Camp - Machapuchhere

The total cost for the trek, tour or peak climbing you decide you want to do will depend on several different factors. The type of accommodation you prefer in Kathmandu and/or Pokhara will make a difference to the overall cost (budget to 5 star accommodation) The mode of transport you prefer will also affect the cost of your package, for example prices vary greatly between flying versus private car/van, tourist or local buses. The number of guides and/or porters required will also affect the total cost of your trek. For these reasons the same trek/tour can vary in price quite substantially.
