Tilicho Peak Climbing

Tilicho peak climbing

Tilicho peak is a bit challenging but at the same time it is one of the most interesting peak climbing experience one is likely to perceive. The way to this mountain climbing has two ways up to its base camp. One way goes via Marshyangdi valley route and another way goes via Kaligandaki valley route.

The base camp is located near the Tilicho Lake at 4800m high. It is a world famous lake at the highest altitude. It takes a few days rest for acclimatization at this base camp. The panoramic view of Tilicho lake from camp 1 (5,800m) is really interesting.

Camp 2 is located at the height of approximately 6,200m and the elevation is about 40 Degree’s slope. Therefore, the climbing is little bit hard with an elevation of 60 degree up towards the top Tilicho peak.

Some times there are chances of avalanche. In any case, you need to be well equipped for this.
