Western Nepal Trekking is unexplored and remote and far distances from Kathmandu. Western Nepal was once the centre of a large empire that extended in to Tibet and India. The regions offers the best trekking, rafting and jungle safari adventure at Bardia National park, visit Rara National park which is an extraordinary natural phenomenon in remote western Nepal. The lake is the largest in Nepal situated at an altitude of 3040m above Karnali valley. This is much more much more primitive, under developed and wilder than the rest of the country. The terrain is also more jagged and steep with deep valleys and gorges.
Trekking to Lower and Upper Dolpo, Jumla Rara lakes are more popular in this regions, which are quite peaceful and full of interesting sights, you can observe abundant of wildlife - blue sheep, muskdeer, snow leopards, sheep and goats used as pack animals and sub alpine vegetation with a unique cultural experience of local people and spectacular mountain views of Dhaulagiri range, Kanjiroba, Gurja Himal and many other mountain peaks of far western Himalayas. The main attraction is walking around and camping nearby beautiful Shey Phoksundo Lake Phoksumdo lake at 3,627m, which is a basin of unearthly turquoise blue ringed by rocky crags and forest, framed by snowcapped peaks.
There are flights to Jumla, Simikot, Dunai which makes travel these regions easy but not regularly flights area operated and may cancel due to weather also, so the few extra days to the trek itinerary is advisable.

Upper Dolpo Trekking
The Dolpa region, designated as Shey Phoksundo National Park, is the most remote district in Nepal situated in the Trans Himalayan region of mid-western Nepal. This lower Dolpo trek is Located in the central west of the country. It is a rain shadow area and was opened in 1991 for trekking, the focal point of the area is Shey Phoksunddo National park . This Dolpo area is remote and rugged protected area is both scenically and culturally attractive. The lower Dolpo trek circuit can be completed in eight day from Juphal back to Juphal.
