Our Foundation:
Above the Himalaya Trekking Company was established by a group of dedicated, young and experienced trekking mountaineering / Expeditions trekking guides and tour leaders. . During our working lives we have provided thousands of adventure and pleasure trips. Because of our quality, safe, friendly and economic service, many of our clients have now become our friends .We always believe in work and quality. All our staff is trained and has insurance and free access to equipments. The salaries are above average.. Our porters carry a maximum of 25 Kg. and they are paid well and totally equipped and insured. Medical care if needed is for everyone in the expedition.
Safety
Our top priority is the safety and security of our customers and staff during all of our trips. Our leaders are all thoroughly trained and highly experienced in leading groups through the Himalayas . They all have a special training in first aid and as well in crisis management. In the rare case of an incident occurring on the trek they can organise a rapid medical evacuation. We carry first aid kits on all of our tours, which is readily available for both customers and staff. We are constantly in communication with our field office and monitor all aspects of government and weather issues that might affect your trip. Also, we are always available on hour 24 hours emegency phoneline. During remote treks, where the nearest village might be a very long walk, our staff carries a satellite phone for communication and in case of emergency helicopter rescue is available.

Trained & skilled staffs:
All of our guides are officially government license holders. They all are very well trained and skilled, and have taken courses in first aid.
Our guides can speak fluent english, a few of them speak additional languages (French, German, Spanish and Japanese. They all are versed in Nepali culture, history, religions, and art, and always will do their best to reveal the genuine Nepal to you. However, their first priority is always safety, maintaining health, security and hygiene before doing anything else!

We can offer accommodation suitable for all budgets and have a good relation with five star deluxe hotels, tourist class hotels, and small cozy guesthouses, both in the cities as in the outer areas.

Fresh and Hygienic Food
During camping treks, expeditions and safaris, we will offer you always fresh, organic and hygienically prepared food which is served by our private cooks. You can have wonderful international dishes, ranging from Italian, Mexican, Indian and other western foods. Ofcourse we can also offer you typical Nepalese food! We always use purified water for washing vegetables and fruits, and for washing dishes and glasses. During treks to high altitude we will adjust our food offered with suitable food to prevent altitude sickness and to provide a healthy nutrition.
Beverages include Nepali tea, coffea and hot chocolate.

We provide the most modern, lightweight equipment, specially designed for trekking and climbing both for our clients and our staff.

Female Guide and Porters:
Above the Himalaya trekking can offer both male and female porters and guides.
Even though we have excellent recommendations and experiences from single female trekkers about our male guides, we do understand that some prefer to be acompanied by only women staff.

Above the Himalaya welcomes all students to Nepal , we can offer you cultural tours, volunteer projects and other type of educational activities.
We offer a 10% discount for students, to apply for this discount we require the student ID details while booking your trip.
Charity:
