Detailed Itinerary for Mardi Himal yoga trek
Day 1: Arrival in Pokhara
Distance: 900 m
Approx. Time : 5 hrs Drive/ 25 mins flight
Altitude: 2,713 ft.
You will take a fantastic road trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara. You will have a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. During the road trip, you will see the stunning views of the terraced rice field, beautiful landscape, Trisuli and Marsyangdi Rivers, and spectacular panoramic view of Ganesh Himal, LamjungHimal, Manaslu and most of Annapurna Himalayan. One can go for boating in Fewa Lake, explore the beautiful city.
Overnight at Pokhara
Day 2: Pokhara to Pothana
Approx. time: 3-4 hours
Altitude: 6,464 ft.
Get ready for the real trek on your second day. The trek will start from a fantastic drive from Pokhara to Kande. After the ride, you will get on with your trekking journey to Pothana. After walking for 3-4 hours, you will reach Pothana. Pothana is a beautiful place with a spectacular view of Himalayan from view camp just above the camp. This is one of the thrilling and exciting parts of Mardi Himal Yoga Trek. Although it is a short walking day yet will have an incredible experience. Enjoy the walk through the lush forest, friendly villagers, and peaceful surroundings.

Day 3: Trek from Pothana to Rest camp
Walking hour: 5-6 hrs
The third day of your trip starts with early morning yoga practice. Doing yoga in such peaceful surroundings will clear all stress from your body and make you feel energetic. After yoga, you will move toward rest camp. You will have a great experience forest walk through Pritamdeurali. From here on, you will turn off the main trail for Annapurna circuit trek and continue on a new trail through a quite dense forest of rhododendron, maple, oak, and hemlock. After a final uphill walk from the forest camp, you will reach the rest camp. It is a beautiful place, and your ears will be so relaxed to listen to the birds and breeze while walking through the forest. When you reach, you will be doing yoga and meditation.
Day 4: Rest camp to BadalDanda
Walking hour: 4-5 hr.
As usual, you will start your morning with yoga practice with a stunning view of Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal. It counts another short day walk through a beautiful green forest. You will be heading to Badaldanda today, which moves towards low camp. Just 3 hrs easy walk will take you to Badal Danda. After reaching there, you will feel high above the lush forest. More grassy pastures and bare hill will be the major things to observe there. Have quality time doing Yoga, breathing, meditating so that you can have enough time for acclimatization.
Spectacular views of the Mt. Fishtail, Mardi Himal are the major highlights of this day.
Day 5: Trek to BadalDanda – High Camp
Walking hour: 4-5 hr.
Day 5 of the trek will offer you refreshing day with the peaceful yoga session in the morning. Proceed for your morning breakfast after Yoga. This day, be ready to walk higher to go to High Camp. A 2 hrs walk will easily take you to High Camp. The trails pass through the grassy pastures, lush rhododendron, along with beautiful landscapes in the surrounding. Moreover, you will be exposed to stunning Himalayan peaks views.
Have a calming yoga and stress-free meditation class in the evening.
Day 6: Trek from High Camp to Mardi Base Camp 4500 M (14,764 ft)
This day is the significant day, as the trekking destination of this day is the highlight of the trek.
Have an early start of the trek at around 4 in the morning. A few hour hiking wills leads towards the viewpoint. You can enjoy the spectacular sunrise against the skyline. The grassy trail will follow you along the path. During the daylight dawn, you will be exposed to the sparkling mountains. Panoramic and stunning close-up views of the mountains will be seen from the vantage point.
Look over the Annapurna gorge below while having the ridge walk towards the base camp.
Day 7: Trek From Mardi Base Camp – BadalDanda.
This day your trekking step will be retracing the way back to Badal Danda. During your way, you will find the short yoga as well and medication class. You can join the yoga class to reinvigorate your body and calm your soul. After descending few hr trails, you will reach to BadalDanda.
Day 8: Badal-Danda – Ghalel
Prepare well yourself by having the early morning yoga session. Then stick towards the downhill walk to Ghalel today. You will have to walk through the steep trail on the first half of the trek. Passing to the siding village, hike towards the Ghalel village. You can see the beautiful villages, small settlements, experience the local lifestyle. You will have an enjoyable home stay experience at Ghalel village, a beautiful ethnic village.

Day 9: Ghalel to Pokhara.
As usual, starts your fresh day with the morning yoga session. This day you will head towards the final trekking to Pokhara. The descending trail will take you to Lumre. Lumre is the place that lies in the bank of a tiny beautiful river. A few hours of easy walk will take you between beautiful waterfalls.
Grab a four-wheel jeep ride to go back to Pokhara. Hence conclude your Mardi Himal Yoga after returning to Pokhara. If you have an extra day, then you can explore the wonderful city Pokhara the very next day.
